The main island of Holon is circular, and densely forested, with the capital city at its core. A canal runs through the island's diameter, making the city of Holon accessible by boat. This is where the research tower is located; its triangular shape overtakes the city skyline. Homes are often domed, with their own gardens or orchards.
The forest surrounding the city is the Mirage Forest. This is where Mew is thought to live. Much of it is off-limits for trainers, but adventurous souls may dare to enter anyway. Team Rocket seeks to occupy this area.
To the south of Mirage Forest is a large lake known as Holon Lake. Strange rock formations are rumoured to be seen at the lake's center. Many natives believe that these rocks have the power to grant wishes. Red Gyrados, like the one seen in Johto's Lake of Rage, are commonly seen around here.
The main island is bordered by a tall, jagged line of mountains. Several rocky caves can be found here, with rare delta fossil Pokemon inside, but they are difficult to navigate. Tales of trainers getting lost inside the dark labrynths are not unusual.
The Mysterious Island is an island seperate from the big island. Strange, glowing crystals grow on its shores, and it seems that normal Pokemon and delta Pokemon live together peacefully there. Very few humans populate the island.
Even farther offshore lies the Distant Island Chain. Not many trainers venture out as far as these islands; they're just barely visible on the horizon of Holon. Here, it's said that there are natural-born delta Pokemon. How they developed is still unknown, but some believe they may have come from an accidental explosion of delta rays on the island long ago.
The Holon Champion is determined every year by the results of a grand single-elimination tournament known as the Delta Conference. Registered trainers must earn all six Holon badges before being eligible to compete. The winner of the tournament has the opportunity to battle the current Champion for their title.Statistics
